Introduction to Data Handling on the Dataverse Platform
The Dataverse IQSS repository at Harvard University provides researchers with a robust system for managing and storing research datasets for shared use. The Harvard Dataverse repository, powered by Dataverse software, enables the storage and sharing of research data sets, enabling efficient data management, access, reuse, and preservation.
Users can upload their data, describe it with metadata, and assign appropriate access levels to control who can view and download the data. There is support for a wide range of file formats, allowing for easy integration with numerous data preview and analysis tools.
Come and learn how Dataverse supports: data loading (including file processing and additional ingest functions for tabular data files), metadata description, access control and versioning. Integrated data analysis and visualization tools, including file previews and online survey data analysis with Data Explorer.
