The following terms and conditions govern any use of the Data Repository of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine DataverseUA (hereinafter - DataverseUA) and the services available on the website by you and any third parties using your account. Use of DataverseUA is offered subject to acceptance and compliance with all terms and conditions contained herein. By clicking "I accept" and/or using DataverseUA, you agree and accept all the terms of the document "General Terms of Use of Data Repository of NAS of Ukraine DataverseUA" (hereinafter - "Agreement").
Change of terms of use of DataverseUA
The data repository of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine DataverseUA is located at the M.M. Bogolyubov Institute of Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which provides administration and support for the operation of DataverseUA. M.M. Bogolyubov Institute of Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine reserves the right, at its own discretion, to edit or change any terms of this Agreement at any time without prior notice to Users. You must periodically check the Agreement for changes. Your continued use of DataverseUA after the posting of any changes to the Agreement constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
Definition
The following definitions are used in this Agreement:
"Author" means a person who is the administrator of the data set or the authorized agent who took responsibility for placing the research data set in the Data Repository of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine DataverseUA.
"Administrator of the DataverseUA Data Repository" - a person who is responsible for the functioning of DataverseUA, creates, controls and is the main organizer, curator and manager of a certain data set.
"Use of services" - any access, use or other actions related to the functions, services, resources and storage of data sets of DataverseUA, including, but not limited to, any downloading, publication, storage, search, distribution, promotion distribution and other use of any content of data sets stored in DataverseUA.
"Access" - providing online access or by other means to a set of data with or without restrictions.
"Documentation" means any digital file, such as a description, technical report, or study log, that explains the procedure for obtaining, structure, or use of a study data set.
"Research data" means any material created or collected for the purpose of analysis to obtain original research results, regardless of data format. Research data can be digital, paper or in other forms.
"Storage" means the administration and management of a data set for a defined period of time to ensure its continued availability and related actions performed on the data set.
"Dataset curator" - the person responsible for the content of the dataset, can upload, edit the files included in the dataset, edit permissions, license and publish datasets.
"User" - a person who has access to information stored in DataverseUA, can view data sets.
"Metadata" means any descriptive information about a data set that can be used to facilitate the retrieval, management, reuse and preservation of that data set.
"Dataset" means a set of files that contain research data, metadata and documentation.
"Unpublished data set" means a data set uploaded to DataverseUA that is not yet publicly available and is available only to the author, data curator and DataverseUA administrator.
"Account" is a user-controlled means of access to DataverseUA, which is protected by a login and password, with which users can access the functions of searching and downloading datasets.
"Published metadata" means the subset of metadata that is openly published in an archive under the CC0 license, which means that it can be freely reused by anyone.
"Restriction" means restricting access to all or any part of a data set so that it cannot be freely and openly downloaded. If any part of the data set is subject to Restrictions, information regarding access arrangements must be reported and placed in the Data Repository of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, DataverseUA.
"Agreement" means this document, including all its terms and conditions.
"Data Repository of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine DataverseUA" means the Data Repository of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine DataverseUA, which is located in the M.M. Bogolyubov Institute of Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and is used for long-term storage, management and exchange of research data sets.
